About The RoleAs a Resource Planning Specialist, you will ensure efficient and effective allocation of organizational resources, including manpower, materials and budgets. Based on a thorough understanding of the business and the operation requirements, this role is required to analyze data, supporting strategic planning and collaborating with the departments to optimize resource utilization and allocation, improve productivity and meet organizational goals.
Specific Responsibilities
- Work closely with HR to identify staffing gaps and provide input on budgeting, recruitment, and training strategies.
- Assist line manager in conducting workforce analysis to assess current and future manpower needs in line with operational needs.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize manpower allocation across departments.
- Gather and analyze resource utilization data to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain dashboard or report that tracks resource performance metrics, such as manpower utilization, costs, and project progress.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership based on data trends and analysis.
- Support forecasting efforts by providing accurate data on resource availability and requirements to ensure best-in-class balance between demand and supply.
- Identify potential risks related to resource shortages or misallocations and escalate to leadership.
- Propose contingency plans to address unexpected resource challenges or constraints.
- Collaborate with HODs to gather resource needs and ensure optimal utilization of manpower and materials.
- Monitor and adjust resource plans in response to changes in priorities, peak season timelines, and workloads.
- Support long-term resource planning initiatives by providing analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in identifying bottlenecks of deficiencies in workflows and resource usage.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhance productivity and minimize resource wastage (if any). Work
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement tools and systems for more effective resource management.
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure resource needs are clearly communicated and met.
- Maintain strong relationship with stakeholders to facilitate smooth planning and execution of resource strategies.
- Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of job – in resource planning, workforce optimization, operational analytics, Data Analytics or HR.
- Experience with RMS (Resource Management Solutions) and/or related analytical tools
- Preferred with Certification in project management (CAPM, PMP)
- Experience in analyzing and forecasting resource demand across multi-functional teams and departments.
- Strong communicator with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
- Ability to track and manage multiple resource requirements (based on each department’s unique operational requirement) accurately.
- Data analysis - strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with workforce management software or productivity improvement tools
