Role Description The Quantity Surveyor at MCC will be responsible for managing costs and contracts across engineering and construction projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance with specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing cost estimates and budgets, monitoring project expenditures, valuing work done, preparing interim and final payments, and assisting with tenders and contract documentation. The role also involves conducting site measurements, coordinating with engineering and project teams, supporting risk and value management, and maintaining accurate records and reports. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, Jordan, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to support project delivery.
Qualifications
- * Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Land Surveying for site measurements, quantity take-offs, and verification of completed work.
- Practical experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to review and work with engineering plans and layouts.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and budget tracking on infrastructure or building projects.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Amman, Jordan, manage time effectively, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, procurement practices, and construction contracts; knowledge of regional regulations is an advantage.
