Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Specialist role based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role will be responsible for managing procurement and subcontracting activities from requisition review through sourcing, commercial evaluation, award, and delivery or execution.
1. Review approved purchase and subcontract requisitions, clarifying scope, specifications and required dates.
2. Source qualified suppliers, subcontractors and service providers and obtain competitive quotations.
3. Evaluate quotations based on price, technical compliance, delivery, capability and commercial terms.
4. Negotiate commercial terms and prepare bid comparisons and award recommendations.
5. Issue approved Purchase Orders, Service Orders and Subcontract Agreements.
6. Coordinate delivery, work execution, inspections and resolution of supplier/subcontractor issues.
7. Maintain supplier/subcontractor records, procurement documentation and performance reports.
8. Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, ethical sourcing requirements and approved authority limits.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in procurement and subcontracting, preferably within shipbuilding, ship repair, marine, offshore, EPC, or other project-based industries.
- Practical experience in supplier and subcontractor sourcing, obtaining quotations, commercial evaluation, bid comparison, negotiation, and award recommendations.
- Experience in processing Purchase Orders, Service Orders, and Subcontract Agreements.
- Ability to evaluate quotations based on price, technical compliance, delivery, capability, and commercial terms.
- Experience coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders through delivery and work execution.
- Experience within the UAE/GCC marine, offshore, or shipyard environment will be an advantage.
