Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and confidential Payroll Administrator to support the accurate and timely administration of payroll processes and employee compensation records. This role is responsible for maintaining payroll data, processing salary-related information, coordinating payroll activities, and ensuring that payroll records are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
The Payroll Administrator will manage and update employee payroll information, including personal details, compensation data, allowances, deductions, leave records, attendance information, and other relevant payroll inputs. The role requires a high level of accuracy when handling sensitive employee and financial information.
Key responsibilities include preparing payroll data, reviewing timesheets and attendance records, validating payroll inputs, processing adjustments, and coordinating payroll calculations and payment schedules. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Finance, management, and employees to ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted within required timelines.
The position will assist with new-hire setup, employee changes, promotions, salary adjustments, transfers, leave records, terminations, and other employment changes that affect payroll. The Payroll Administrator will ensure that relevant documentation is properly received, reviewed, recorded, and reflected in payroll systems.
The role also involves reviewing payroll reports and identifying discrepancies related to salaries, deductions, allowances, overtime, leave, benefits, or other compensation components. Any inconsistencies should be investigated and resolved or escalated to the appropriate team.
The Payroll Administrator will respond to routine payroll-related questions from employees and provide clear information regarding payslips, payment dates, deductions, payroll records, and administrative procedures. Sensitive matters should be handled professionally and with appropriate confidentiality.
The position may also support statutory payroll requirements, tax-related payroll documentation, employee benefits administration, and other compliance activities depending on applicable company policies and regulations. Payroll records should be maintained accurately and made available for internal reviews, audits, and reporting when required.
The role will maintain payroll files, reports, employee documentation, and supporting records in accordance with internal procedures. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with payroll software, HRIS platforms, spreadsheets, and other systems used to manage employee compensation data.
The Payroll Administrator may also contribute to payroll process improvements by identifying repetitive tasks, data-quality issues, control weaknesses, and opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Strong organization, numerical accuracy, discretion, and time management are essential. The successful candidate should be able to manage payroll deadlines carefully while maintaining reliable records and providing professional support to employees and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- * Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
