Role: The Medical Scribe (Clinical Informatics Specialist) supports primary care providers by documenting patient encounters, managing clinical documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- * Join providers in exam rooms to observe and document visits, including history, assessment, plan, and physical exam; assign CPT and ICD-10 codes; prepare after-visit summaries.
- Review medical records, support clinical documentation improvement, and participate in team huddles and reviews.
- Assist with administrative duties such as placing orders, referrals, and addressing tasks to support care teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- * Typing speed of 55+ WPM (70+ preferred); excellent communication, listening, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to new workflows; commitment of at least 1 year, preferably 2+.
- In-person availability for full-time hours, adherence to HIPAA, and US work authorization.
- Preferred: healthcare-related education or experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and prior clinical or shadowing experience.
