Key Responsibilities
Review design drawings, hydraulic calculations, and technical specifications for
pumping station systems, ensuring full understanding of system functionality and design
intent and vendor submittals, equipment data sheet, valves, and associated mechanical
components
Supervise and oversee mechanical installation works including pumps, valves, piping
networks, fittings, supports, and mechanical equipment, ensuring correct alignment and
adherence to technical requirements.
Conduct site inspections to monitor mechanical works and ensure installations and
conduct technical evaluations for pumps, valves, pipes, and other mechanical
equipment in coordination with procurement teams
Develop, review, and execute testing and commissioning procedures
Perform hydrostatic tests, leak tests, and performance tests for piping and pumping
systems; assist in troubleshooting and coordinate with electrical and instrumentation
teams during pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Ensure all mechanical works comply with quality standards and HSE requirements,
conduct risk assessments, and enforce safe work practices on site.
Skills
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (specialization in hydraulics preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems for water or
wastewater pumping station projects.
