Role Description The Mechanical Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Al Khobar. The individual in this role will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components for contracting and industrial projects. Daily tasks include developing and reviewing technical drawings and 3D models, performing calculations, preparing specifications, and supporting equipment selection. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in project planning and execution, conduct technical evaluations, and support troubleshooting and maintenance activities on active sites. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements, and preparing technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong core Mechanical Engineering skills, including solid understanding of thermodynamics, mechanics, and materials.
- Candidates should possess Machine Design skills, including experience with component selection, stress analysis, and design for manufacturability.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, using tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software to create and revise detailed models and drawings.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordinating with stakeholders, and monitoring progress against project milestones.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills, including the ability to investigate new technologies, evaluate alternatives, and support innovation in mechanical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in contracting, industrial, or energy projects, preferably within the GCC region.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO) and familiarity with quality assurance practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
