Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer – HVAC role based in Qesm 2nd 6 October. The role involves designing HVAC systems and mechanical components to meet project requirements, performance standards, and safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed engineering drawings and 3D models, performing calculations and load analysis, and selecting appropriate equipment and materials. The Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, supports project planning and coordination, and provides technical input during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. The role also includes reviewing designs for cost-effectiveness, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and preparing technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills applied to HVAC and related mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess proven Design Engineering and Product Design capabilities for industrial and building services applications.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in HVAC design for commercial or industrial projects, including load calculations and equipment selection.
- Ability to interpret technical standards, building codes, and client specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams on site.
