As part of our expanding operations at Queen Alia international airport in Amman, we are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician (Handyman) to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and guest areas are maintained to the highest standards to support smooth daily operations and deliver an exceptional experience for our guests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all areas of the lounge and hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained at all times..
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day general maintenance and repair work across the facility including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic mechanical tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, guest areas, and back-of-house facilities to identify potential issues and ensure everything is functioning properly.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from the operations team and address any technical issues that may arise.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to reduce the risk of equipment failure and ensure the longevity of facilities and assets.
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing maintenance problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Support the operations team during peak periods and assist with any facility-related requirements.
- Report major repairs or technical issues to the management team and coordinate with external service providers if necessary.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and respond to urgent maintenance requests when required.
- Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience working in hotels, lounges, airports, or commercial facilities is an advantage.
