Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage import and export shipments from origin to final delivery.
Handle customs clearance procedures and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and other required documents.
Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport companies, and clearing agents.
Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to relevant internal departments.
Ensure all customs declarations and documentation comply with Qatar customs regulations and applicable import/export requirements.
Coordinate transportation arrangements for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Follow up on customs duties, clearance charges, port charges, storage, demurrage, and other logistics-related expenses.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs declarations, clearance documents, and related transactions.
Identify and resolve shipment delays, customs issues, documentation discrepancies, and other logistics-related challenges.
Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth movement of goods.
Monitor delivery schedules and ensure goods reach the required destination within agreed timelines.
Assist in evaluating freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics service providers.
Maintain proper tracking reports for shipments, customs clearance, and deliveries.
Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.
Prepare regular logistics and customs clearance reports for management.
Perform other logistics and administrative duties assigned by management.
This specialist will be responsible for operational execution, carrier bookings, documentation audits, customs clearance liaison, and cross-border road dispatch.
