- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Lead and manage the purchasing team, ensuring efficient performance and achievement of procurement targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local suppliers to ensure the best quality, competitive pricing, and delivery terms.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers regarding prices, payment terms, contracts, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and continuously evaluate their performance.
- Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and price fluctuations to identify cost-saving and sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure timely availability and delivery of materials and goods in line with project and operational requirements.
- Review and approve purchase orders, quotations, and purchasing decisions within the approved authority limits.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements, priorities, and future needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing plans to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Establish and monitor purchasing KPIs, budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures, policies, legal requirements, and internal controls.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, shortages, and damaged goods.
- Prepare and present purchasing reports, supplier performance analysis, and cost-saving updates to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 7–10 years in purchasing/procurement, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of local purchasing, supplier management, sourcing, and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of local market conditions, supplier networks, and relevant legal and commercial regulations.
- Strong decision-making and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems.
