Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Literature Teacher role within a British School setting, located in Qesm El Maadi. The Literature Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British curriculum, covering a range of literary periods, genres, and authors. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, teaching classes, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners with diverse needs and abilities. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of student progress, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, participating in school activities and meetings, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. The teacher is expected to stay current with best practices in education and British literature to continuously enhance teaching quality.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience in a British or international school environment.
- Proficient in Lesson Planning and curriculum design for literature courses.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage students and collaborate effectively with colleagues and guardians.
- Experience in Training or mentoring students in critical thinking, analytical writing, and literary appreciation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English Literature, Education, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and assessment standards.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively and support an inclusive, respectful learning atmosphere.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in grading, documentation, and lesson preparation.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and openness to feedback and new teaching methodologies.
