Role Description The Landscape Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Egypt, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining residential and commercial landscapes for Selloumi Planthouse. Day-to-day tasks include developing landscape plans, selecting appropriate plants and materials, coordinating irrigation systems, and supervising installation and maintenance activities. The role involves conducting site assessments, ensuring projects comply with environmental and safety standards, and collaborating with the nursery team to source suitable plants. The Landscape Engineer will also interact with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with Selloumi’s quality and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Landscaping and Landscape Maintenance, with experience overseeing installation and ongoing care of outdoor spaces.
- Hands-on expertise in Gardening and plant care, including selection, planting, pruning, and general plant health management.
- Knowledge of Irrigation systems, including planning, installation, and maintenance to ensure efficient water use.
- Ability in Landscape Design, including site analysis, layout planning, and creating functional, aesthetic, and sustainable outdoor environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of local climate, soil conditions, and suitable plant species for Egypt’s environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and teams on-site.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in a diverse work setting.
