SUMMARY
The Laboratory Analyst is responsible of performing methods and testing procedures in order to ensure that all raw materials meet the requested quality before their use in production. She/he participates in the design, development, improvement, implementation and quality analysis of all existing and new products.
GENERAL DUTIES
a. Performing qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of paints samples (derived from production, lab etc.) using chemical reactions or instrumentation techniques.
b. Testing the raw materials when necessary in order to check their quality before their use in production using approved methods.
c. Analyzing and communicating the obtained results to the Lab Manager.
d. Replacing the Quality Control Technician when necessary.
e. Assisting in developing existing and new formulas of paints solvents (thinner).
f. Assisting in developing existing products in order to meet standards or clients requirements.
g. Assisting in developing new products upon request.
h. Assisting in developing products using an alternative raw material in case of a raw material unavailability or high cost.
i. Assisting in analyzing the claims received from the Customer Service Department, finding a corrective action and replying in the requested delay.
j. Complying with all SOPs, written instructions and regulations for the proper use of instruments: calibration, maintenance and cleaning…
k. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and proper chemical storage.
