JOB SUMMARYThe Junior Recruitment Officer plays a crucial role in the student recruitment process by providing administrative support and facilitating communication. The incumbent ensures a positive experience for prospective students from application through enrolment, follows up with the leads, and undertakes the steps needed to reach the conversion.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS1- Recruitment Tasks
- Serves as a positive representative of the University to new applicants and their guests.
- Assists in forums and regional fairs.
- Facilitates new candidates’ introduction to the University by maintaining an open, helpful attitude and using effective communication techniques to answer their questions about the academic aspects of university life.
- Explains academic advising and course enrolment procedures to all candidates and answers basic questions about requirements, course loads, and elective classes.
- Responds to inquiries from prospective students regarding admission requirements, procedures, and deadlines.
- Handles phone calls and WhatsApp messages.
- Collects leads.
- Cooperates with the Admissions and Data Entry units for a smooth conversion.
2- Administrative Tasks
- Helps new applicants fill in a USEK application form.
- Processes incoming applications.
- Provides administrative support for the program, including preparation of orientation materials (such as PowerPoint presentations).
- Communicates with the recruitment team.
- Works closely with academic departments, student supports offices, and other USEK units.
- Supports the senior recruitment coordinator in leads conversion.
3- Tasks during Events
- Assists in organizing and facilitating admission events, such as campus tours and open doors.
- Guides tours of first-year students and their parents.
- Helps set up and take down orientation events (such as forums).
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any other field.
- 1–2 years of experience with various sourcing tactics, like social recruiting and excellent relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of relevant legislation and procedures of USEK programs.
- An understanding of student claims.
- Previous student orientation experience.
- An understanding of school programs (IB/French Baccalaureate / Lebanese Bac/AP...)
- Effective oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentations; fluency in English and proficiency in French are required.
- Interviewing and negotiations skills.
- Time and information management ability in a fast-paced environment.
- Research and program development knowledge.
- Effective interpersonal skills: assertive, helpful, and team oriented.
- High emotional intelligence.
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Ability to learn data management and read statistical data.
