Role Description The Kitchen Worker role at RAW & BOWL'D is a part-time, on-site position based in Amman, Jordan. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, and supporting chefs with mise en place and plating. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring ingredients are properly stored and labeled. Kitchen Workers help with dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and waste management, while also coordinating with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service. Individuals in this role are expected to follow established recipes, support the culinary team, and contribute to a positive, professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Foundational culinary background, with basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and service staff.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle kitchen equipment safely, and perform repetitive tasks.
