We are hiring an experienced Jr. Procurement Officer for a construction company in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have strong procurement experience covering both Civil and MEP materials and a good understanding of UAE construction procurement practices.
Responsibilities
- Source and procure Civil and MEP materials, equipment, tools, and consumables.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
- Compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, site, and stores teams regarding material requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery as per project requirements.
- Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation.
- Monitor material prices, availability, and lead times.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, delays, and material shortages.
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and approved requirements.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of procurement experience in the UAE/GCC construction industry.
- Mandatory experience in both Civil and MEP procurement.
- Good knowledge of construction and MEP materials.
- Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchase orders.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Good communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- UAE supplier/vendor network will be an advantage.
- Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice are preferred.
