The Investment Controlling Senior Manager owns investment appraisal and capital allocation discipline for ASMO, including evaluation of investments related to the eASMO Marketplace and other growth initiatives. The role reviews and challenges business cases, applies standardized evaluation frameworks, and conducts post-investment reviews to confirm that projected value is realized. It leads a team of investment analysts, building the appraisal and capital-allocation capability central to Finance's evolution into a strategic, value-creating function.
Description
- Lead investment appraisal for capex, M&A, and marketplace investments, applying standardized evaluation frameworks (hurdle rates, ROI, NPV).
- Review and challenge business cases from business units and the marketplace, ensuring rigor and completeness before recommendation.
- Conduct post-investment reviews to validate whether projected value was realized, feeding lessons back into evaluation standards.
- Provide decision support to the CFO and the Director on capital allocation priorities across competing opportunities.
- Assess financial risks associated with proposed investments and recommend mitigations.
- Lead and develop a team of investment analysts, setting objectives and building investment appraisal capability.
- Implement Finance policies and procedures for investment governance; contribute to audit-readiness.
Qualifications & Experience
- * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent required; Master's/MBA preferred.
- CFA charter holder or candidate preferred.
- Minimum 11 years' relevant experience, including 5 years in investment appraisal or corporate finance leadership.
- Investment appraisal experience in procurement, logistics, or marketplace/e-commerce sectors preferred; experience evaluating growth or technology investments preferred.
- Investment appraisal methodologies (NPV/IRR), capital allocation frameworks, and post-investment review practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
