A leading diversified investment group based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Investment Analyst to support its investment and M&A activities.
This role will work closely with the Investment Director in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, coordinating due diligence activities, and preparing investment materials for senior leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting transaction execution, pipeline management, and investment decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models, including operating models, valuation models, and return analysis.
- Perform financial analysis to support investment screening, evaluation, and transaction execution.
- Assess investment opportunities through detailed financial and commercial review.
- Conduct sensitivity, scenario, and return analysis to support decision-making.
- Prepare investment screening papers, investment committee materials, approval memos, and executive presentations.
- Support investment opportunities throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Assist in evaluating acquisitions, investments, strategic partnerships, and growth opportunities.
- Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, competitors, and investment opportunities.
- Research comparable companies, comparable transactions, and trading multiples.
- Ensure timely completion of diligence activities and transaction milestones.
- Maintain and track investment opportunities across the deal pipeline.
- Prepare status reports and investment updates for management.
- Support portfolio and transaction reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
- 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Analysis, Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Transaction Advisory, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development or Financial Due Diligence.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation experience.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
- Experience supporting transactions and investment evaluations is highly preferred.
