Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and organized HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR activities and operations and provide support across the full employee lifecycle.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding & offboarding, employee records, HR administration, attendance, leave management, employee relations, and coordination of visa and work permit processes. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, approachable, confidential, and able to handle multiple HR responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Actively involve with recruitment executive during the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
- Prepare and update JDs and post job advertisements on LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms.
- Source and screen candidates based on approved job requirements.
- Conduct initial HR screening interviews/calls.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and department heads.
- Maintain candidate records and provide regular recruitment updates.
- Prepare offer letters and coordinate the approval process.
- Follow up with selected candidates regarding joining dates and required documents.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate new employee onboarding and ensure all required documents are completed.
- Prepare employment documentation and onboarding checklists.
- Coordinate with relevant departments regarding new joiner requirements, assets, access, and accommodation where applicable.
- Conduct employee induction and explain company policies and procedures.
- Manage employee exit and offboarding procedures.
- Coordinate resignation, cancellation, clearance, and final documentation processes.
Visa & Government Relations
- Coordinate employee visa, work permit, Emirates ID, medical, and related processes.
- Follow up with PRO/government relations teams on employee documentation.
- Monitor visa and document expiry dates and ensure timely renewals.
- Coordinate visa cancellation and transfer processes when required.
- Maintain accurate records of employee visa and work permit status.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Prepare and maintain HR files and employee documentation.
- Manage attendance, leave, and employee-related records.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain HR trackers.
- Issue HR letters, employment certificates, and other employee documents as required.
- Ensure HR records (hard & soft) are updated and properly maintained.
Employee Relations & HR Operations
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries.
- Handle employee concerns professionally and confidentially.
- Support management in resolving employee-related matters.
- Communicate company policies and procedures clearly to employees.
- Maintain positive employee relationships and support a professional workplace environment.
HR Policies & Compliance
- Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR processes are aligned with company requirements and applicable UAE employment regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for HR processes and employee actions.
- Support HR audits and internal compliance requirements when required.
Payroll & Benefits Support
- Coordinate with Finance regarding monthly payroll information.
- Verify attendance, leave, salary changes, and other payroll-related information.
- Maintain employee benefit records.
- Coordinate with relevant teams regarding medical insurance and other employee benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in HR Generalist or similar HR roles.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment and HR administration.
- Experience with UAE employment labour laws, Emiratization, visa, and work permit processes.
- Good knowledge of employee lifecycle processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience using HRMS/ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
