Roles & Responsibilities
- Work under the assigned management structure and report to the Technical Crew Training Manager.
- Deliver specialized Ground Support Equipment (GSE) training courses and provide theoretical and practical instruction to course participants. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Instructor within the GSE specialty, ensuring high standards of technical and instructional performance.
- Develop manuals, guidelines, training curricula, and instructional materials aligned with course objectives. Support other instructors and apply effective training methodologies that actively engage trainees and enhance learning outcomes.
- Review training documents, manuals, course materials, and instructional content, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Participate in trainee progress review meetings, identify areas requiring improvement, and develop appropriate development strategies. Conduct formative and summative assessments and document trainees’ strengths and development needs.
- Coordinate assigned training activities and project elements to ensure they meet operational and training requirements.
- Prepare and deliver GSE training courses, training pathways, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs.
- Identify training requirements and manage the requisition, control, and accountability of testing materials, training aids, and instructional resources.
- Ensure the availability and currency of GSE Specialty Training Standards (STS), course materials, and other required training documentation.
- Develop, review, modify, and update publications, technical manuals, training materials, and related instructional documentation.
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior management regarding GSE staffing, competency development, and training requirements.
- Evaluate the technical and instructional performance of assigned personnel and provide appropriate feedback and development recommendations.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Minimum Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or a recognized aviation training program specializing in Ground Support Equipment (GSE), with a minimum duration of two (2) years, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) within military or civilian aviation environments.
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as a GSE Instructor or in a similar technical training role.
- Level 7 qualification as a GSE Technician, or an equivalent recognized technical qualification, is preferred.
- Must hold a recognized Instructor Qualification or Instructor Training Course Certificate.
- For non-native English speakers, a minimum English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 is preferred. English language competency may also be assessed during the interview process.
- Good working knowledge of office automation tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
