Black Pearl Consult is hiring an experienced Global Mobility Specialist for a six-month assignment in Abu Dhabi, with the possibility of extension for a further six months based on business requirements.
This opportunity is ideal for a Human Capital or HR professional with approximately 5-7 years of experience in Global Mobility, International Assignments, Employee Relocation, HR Operations or a related field.
The successful candidate will manage and coordinate the end-to-end mobility journey for employees undertaking international assignments and secondments, working closely with Human Capital, Legal, Finance, management and external mobility service providers.

About the Role
The Global Mobility Specialist will support the delivery of employee mobility services, ensuring that international assignments, secondments and relocations are managed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with internal mobility policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
The role involves coordinating multiple stakeholders and external vendors while providing employees with clear guidance throughout their mobility journey.
Key responsibilities
International assignments and secondments: Manage the operational delivery of assignments from initiation through completion, coordinating the relevant stakeholders, documentation, approvals and logistical arrangements.
Relocation coordination: Oversee immigration and visa processing, housing, transportation and associated relocation arrangements, working closely with employees and external providers.
Policy advice and compliance: Explain mobility policies and procedures clearly, apply internal guidelines consistently and ensure activities follow applicable immigration regulations and other external requirements. Identify potential compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately.
Internal stakeholder coordination: Liaise with Legal, Management Accounts and the relevant Human Capital teams to resolve queries, coordinate requirements and ensure assignments progress efficiently.
External vendor management: Coordinate with relocation, immigration and other mobility service providers, following up on case progress, service delivery and outstanding actions.
Cost analysis and budgeting: Prepare mobility cost analyses, support budget planning and track assignment and relocation expenses to help deliver cost-effective solutions.
Employee support: Act as a central point of contact for employees undertaking assignments or relocations, responding to enquiries, explaining processes and helping resolve issues throughout their mobility journey.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate case records, monitor progress and prepare mobility reports and metrics, ensuring information is complete and up to date.
Policy and framework improvement: Support the maintenance and development of mobility policies and frameworks in response to changing business needs, employee feedback and relevant best practices.
Process efficiency: Conduct periodic reviews to identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen coordination and improve operational efficiency.
Repatriation and return assignments: Support the coordination of employees' return arrangements and relevant assignment closure activities.
RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management or a related discipline.
Approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience in Global Mobility, International Assignments, Employee Relocation, HR Operations or a related area.
Hands-on experience managing international assignments, secondments and employee relocations.
Good working knowledge of immigration processes, mobility policies, regulatory requirements and compliance.Skills
Substantial experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, or Organisational Development, with ownership of programmes and frameworks.
A background in investment management, asset management, banking, financial services, or another complex professional environment.
Demonstrated experience across succession planning, talent reviews, performance management, and leadership development.
Strong knowledge of instructional design and practical approaches to adult learning.
The ability to understand specialist business needs and work with subject-matter experts to develop relevant learning content.
Experience in Emirati talent development, graduate programmes, or structured career development would be an advantage.
Strong project management skills, including managing external providers, budgets, and multiple initiatives.
Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to advise and present to senior stakeholders.
A relevant bachelor's degree. CIPD, SHRM, or an equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
