Role Description The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) role at Solar is a part-time, hybrid position based in Erbil, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day tasks include supporting the design and optimization of solar PV systems, preparing technical documentation, and assisting with project planning and scheduling. The role involves coordinating with suppliers and contractors for procurement activities, reviewing technical specifications, and contributing to cost estimates and budgets. The EPC professional will help monitor construction progress, support quality and safety compliance, and participate in site visits when needed. Collaboration with engineering, project management, and operations teams is expected to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with company standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of solar PV systems, basic electrical or mechanical engineering principles, and construction processes for energy projects.
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, and coordination, including documentation management and basic cost estimation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with suppliers and contractors, and maintain organized records and reports.
- Familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards, and willingness to participate in site visits and field activities as required.
- Proficiency with productivity and design tools (e.g., MS Office, project management software; solar design tools are a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree or current studies in engineering, renewable energy, construction management, or a related field are preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a hybrid setting.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages and prior experience in Erbil or the surrounding region are advantageous.
