DGM Contracting LLC is looking for an experienced Electrical & Plumbing Draftsman with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in Dubai and other UAE projects.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
Electrical Systems
Prepare design drawings, coordinated shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
Develop single-line diagrams, electrical load calculations, load schedules, and distribution board schedules.
Prepare lighting, socket outlet, power, and equipment connection layouts.
Perform lux calculations and prepare emergency lighting layouts.
Calculate cable sizes, voltage drops, and circuit protection requirements.
Prepare cable routing, containment, earthing, and bonding layouts.
Low Voltage & ELV Systems
Prepare layouts for data, telephone, Wi-Fi, CCTV, intercom, access control, and security systems.
Prepare fire alarm drawings and coordinate interfaces with other building systems.
Coordinate home automation, lighting controls, and smart home systems.
Develop containment routes, wiring diagrams, device layouts, and system schematics.
Plumbing & Drainage
Prepare hot and cold water supply layouts, schematics, and pipe sizing calculations.
Calculate water demand, flow rates, pressure losses, and pump requirements.
Prepare drainage and vent layouts, including pipe sizing, slopes, and discharge calculations.
Prepare stormwater drainage layouts and coordinate roof, balcony, and external drainage.
Coordinate water tanks, pumps, heaters, filtration systems, and irrigation connections.
Coordination & Technical Skills
Ensure drawings comply with applicable Dubai regulations, DEWA, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, and other relevant authority requirements.
Coordinate MEP services with architectural, structural, HVAC, and site requirements.
Prepare builders’ work drawings showing openings, sleeves, and service penetrations.
Prepare material take-offs and quantities to support BOQs and procurement.
Review consultant comments, revise drawings, and support authority submissions.
Demonstrate strong AutoCAD proficiency; Revit/BIM experience is an advantage.
Previous UAE experience in villas and fit-out projects is preferred. Candidates should be capable of producing accurate drawings and supporting calculations with minimal supervision, in coordination with the responsible engineers.
