- Design components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
- Develop and test prototypes and new products
- Perform R&D on new technologies, materials, and products
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to improve design and reliability
- Create and update drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
- Coordinate with manufacturing, production, quality, and engineering teams
- Make design modifications and component substitutions
- Support products from development through production
Requirements:
- 7+ years of product development, manufacturing, and production experience, preferably automotive
- Required: Injection molding / plastics manufacturing experience
- BSME or equivalent engineering degree
- Strong SolidWorks and 3D design skills
- GD&T, engineering drawings, dimensioning, and schematics
- Product development and mass production experience
- Experience with PDM and engineering documentation
