Role Description The Consultant Neurologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role involves providing specialized neurological assessment and management, including outpatient consultations, inpatient referrals, and multidisciplinary case discussions. Daily tasks include diagnosing and treating a broad range of neurological conditions, interpreting EEG and other neurodiagnostic tests, and managing complex cases such as epilepsy and movement disorders. The Consultant Neurologist will collaborate with psychiatry, family medicine, psychology, therapy, and neuropsychology colleagues to develop integrated treatment and prevention plans. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in quality improvement activities, and contributing to patient and community education on brain health and lifestyle medicine.
Qualifications
- * Clinical expertise in Medicine and Neurology, with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of adult neurological conditions.
- Specialized skills in Epilepsy, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term management.
- Competence in Movement Disorders, covering evaluation, differential diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Proficiency in EEG, including ordering, interpreting, and integrating findings into clinical decision-making.
- Board certification or equivalent qualification in Neurology; eligibility for licensing with relevant health authorities in the UAE.
- Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary teams in a hospital or specialized clinic setting.
- Strong communication skills, patient-centered approach, and commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory practice.
- Interest or experience in lifestyle medicine, prevention, and long-term brain health optimization is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Abu Dhabi Emirate and engage in continuous professional development.
