Role Description The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for lathes, mills, and other machining equipment in an on-site workshop in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role includes interpreting technical drawings and specifications, selecting appropriate tools and machining strategies, and generating CNC code to produce precise metal components. Day-to-day tasks involve setting up programs, collaborating with machinists to validate and refine setups, troubleshooting machining issues, and adjusting parameters to improve efficiency and quality. The CNC Programmer will also verify parts against specifications, maintain documentation for programs and processes, and follow safety and quality standards while coordinating with production and engineering teams to meet delivery schedules.
Qualifications
Ability to interpret and apply Technical Drawing skills to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications.
* Strong proficiency in CNC Programming and Programming for lathes, milling machines, and related equipment.
* Hands-on experience with Machining and Milling*, including tooling selection, feeds and speeds, and setup optimization.
* Knowledge of CNC controllers and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) is highly beneficial.
* Understanding of quality control practices, measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and tolerance requirements.
* Commitment to workshop safety, housekeeping, and adherence to operational procedures.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors.
* Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Previous experience in CNC programming and machining within a metalworking environment is preferred.
