Hiring :- Commercial Manager / Head of Quantity Surveying – Fit-Out & Interiors
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager / Head of Quantity Surveying to lead the commercial management of fit-out and interior projects, from tender stage through project completion and final account.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, cost control, variations, claims, subcontractor management, payment certification and final accounts, with a solid understanding of the fit-out/interiors sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall commercial performance of fit-out and interior projects from tender stage through final account.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract conditions.
- Prepare and review project cost estimates and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with the design, estimation and procurement teams during tendering.
- Manage variations, claims, extensions of time and additional works.
- Monitor project profitability and forecast final costs.
- Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure approved variations are properly incorporated into project accounts.
- Act as the commercial point of contact for clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Manage supplier/subcontractor commercial disputes.
- Prepare and submit monthly payment applications.
- Review consultant/client certification and payment deductions.
- Review subcontractor payment applications and certify payments.
- Prepare and negotiate the project's final account.
- Ensure all commercial documentation is completed before project closeout.
- Prepare monthly commercial/project reports.
- Report on revenue, cost, gross margin, variations, claims and cash flow.
- Develop commercial procedures and improve cost-control systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8–12 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years in commercial/QS roles within fit-out and interiors.
- Strong experience in fit-out/interior projects.
- Proven experience in commercial management from tender to final account.
- Strong knowledge of variations, claims, EOTs, contracts, payment applications and final accounts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and commercial management skills.
- UAE experience in fit-out/interiors is mandatory.
Salary :- 20k AED +other benefits as per UAE labor law .
