About the Role
Our client, a Dubai-based contracting company, is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Building Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contractual and commercial matters across building construction projects, ensuring contractual compliance, protecting the company’s commercial interests, and supporting project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of building construction projects.
- Review, negotiate and administer main contracts, subcontracts and associated agreements.
- Manage variations, claims, extensions of time, delays and contractual notices.
- Monitor contractual obligations, risks and commercial exposure.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, QS teams and senior management.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondence with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Support the project team in resolving contractual and commercial disputes.
- Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for claims and variations.
- Provide contractual advice to project and senior management.
- Assist with commercial strategy and protect the company's contractual position.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or a related discipline.
- Strong experience as a Contracts Manager within the building construction sector.
- Experience with major building, residential, commercial, hospitality or fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, claims, variations and commercial management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and contractual administration skills.
- Western background preferred.
- Ideally early 40s or below, in line with the client's current requirement.
- UAE/Dubai experience is highly preferred.
- Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
Compensation:
AED 35,000 per month, plus applicable company benefits.
Interview Availability: Candidates who can attend an interview at short notice are preferred, with Friday availability particularly advantageous.
