About the Role
NAGA is looking for an experienced Civil Inspector to join its Site Supervision team. The Civil Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting construction activities to ensure that works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, contract requirements, applicable standards, and good construction practices.
The role will primarily support residential building and villa projects and requires strong knowledge of applicable UAE codes and construction supervision practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved project requirements.
- Ensure that activities submitted for inspection have the relevant approved shop drawings, Method Statements (MS), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) available and that the latest approved versions are being used.
- Monitor site activities to ensure that works comply with:
- Contract requirements
- Approved shop drawings
- Approved materials
- Method statements and ITPs
- Good construction practices
- Verify that only approved materials are being used on site.
- Inspect completed and ongoing works and identify any quality issues or deviations from approved requirements.
- Verify relevant material and construction test results to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors and the supervision team regarding inspection activities and technical requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, site activities, and quality observations.
- Prepare daily inspection logs and site reports as required.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspection results and construction activities.
- Monitor compliance with applicable safety and project requirements during site activities.
- Report non-compliant works or materials to the relevant supervision team for appropriate action.
- Support the Resident Engineer/Civil Engineer in maintaining quality and compliance throughout the construction process.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Construction, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and consultancy supervision.
- Strong experience in residential buildings and villa projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE applicable codes, standards, and construction requirements.
- Proven experience in site inspection and construction quality control.
- Good understanding of:

- Method Statements
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Material approvals
- Construction testing and verification
- Site documentation and reporting
- Strong understanding of construction methods and good construction practices.
