Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Engineer to join our team, specializing in milling, CMM, and wire EDM processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, and optimizing machining processes to ensure high-quality production and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CAD models and CAM programs for 5 axis milling, wire EDM, Grinding and CMM operations.
- Collaborate with design engineers to create detailed machining plans and specifications.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., NX, AutoCAD) to create and modify 3D models and technical drawings.
- Generate CNC programs for milling machines and wire EDM based on engineering specifications.
- Conduct setup and operation of CMM to ensure precision measurements and quality control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Perform tooling selection and optimization for various machining processes.
- Maintain documentation of machining processes, programs, and quality reports.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD/CAM technology.
- Ability to run CNC machines and teach operator .
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in CAD/CAM programming, specifically for milling, CMM, and wire EDM.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX)and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, powermill).
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and technologies.
- Knowledge of ISO and other quality standards.
- Familiarity with CNC machine operation and setup.
