Main Duties:
- * Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, presentation standards, and guest preferences.
- Engage confidently with guests, providing personalized beverage recommendations based on individual tastes, occasions, and preferences while creating a welcoming bar experience.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, ingredients, garnishes, preparation techniques, and current beverage trends to provide accurate and professional recommendations.
- Prepare the bar before each service by ensuring appropriate mise-en-place, glassware, garnishes, beverage stock, bar equipment, and service supplies are available and correctly arranged.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality, portion control, presentation, and preparation, following established recipes and luxury service standards at all times.
- Monitor guest consumption and follow applicable procedures for responsible alcohol service, professionally addressing situations where further service may not be appropriate.
- Process beverage orders and guest checks accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system, following established procedures for billing, payments, and cash handling.
- Maintain the bar, counters, equipment, glassware, and storage areas to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, organization, and visual presentation throughout the shift.
- Monitor beverage stock levels and assist with inventory control, stock rotation, requisitions, and proper storage, reporting shortages, discrepancies, or damaged products as required.
- Coordinate closely with service colleagues, kitchen teams, supervisors, and other Food & Beverage departments to ensure efficient order delivery and a seamless guest experience.
- Handle guest requests, feedback, and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a solution-focused approach, escalating issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
- Follow all required food safety, hygiene, health and safety, licensing, and hotel operating procedures, while consistently maintaining professional grooming and service etiquette.
Qualifications
- * High school diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, or Bartending from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant bartending experience, preferably within a five-star hotel, luxury resort, premium bar, or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers, beverage preparation techniques, garnishing, and bar service standards.
- Good understanding of responsible alcohol service, hygiene, food safety, and health and safety procedures applicable to bar operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Professional appearance with a guest-focused personality, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
