Roles & Responsibilities
- Work under the assigned management structure and report to the Technical Crew Training Manager.
- Deliver specialized Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) training courses and provide theoretical and practical instruction to course participants. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Instructor in the ALSE specialty, ensuring high technical and instructional standards.
- Develop manuals, guidelines, training curricula, and instructional materials aligned with course objectives. Support other instructors and apply effective training methodologies that promote trainee engagement and learning.
- Review training documents, manuals, and instructional materials, and provide recommendations for improvement and standardization.
- Participate in trainee progress review meetings, identify development needs, and recommend appropriate improvement strategies. Conduct formative and summative evaluations highlighting trainee strengths and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate assigned training activities and project elements to ensure compliance with operational and training requirements.
- Prepare and deliver ALSE training courses, training pathways, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs.
- Determine training resource requirements and manage the requisition, control, and accountability of testing materials, training aids, and instructional resources.
- Ensure the availability and currency of ALSE Specialty Training Standards (STS), course materials, and other required training documentation.
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior management regarding ALSE staffing, competency development, and training requirements.
- Develop, review, modify, and update publications, technical manuals, training materials, and related instructional documentation.
- Evaluate the technical and instructional performance of assigned personnel and provide appropriate feedback and development recommendations.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Minimum Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Electromechanical Engineering, or a recognized aviation training program specializing in Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE), with a minimum duration of two (2) years, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven aviation experience within military or civilian aviation environments, preferably with direct exposure to Aviation Life Support Equipment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as an ALSE Instructor or in a similar technical training role.
- Level 7 qualification as an ALSE Technician, or an equivalent recognized technical qualification, is preferred.
- Must hold a recognized Instructor Qualification or Instructor Training Course Certificate.
- For non-native English speakers, a minimum English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 is preferred. English language competency may also be assessed during the interview process.
- Good working knowledge of office automation tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
