Role DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Accountant / Accounts Executive / Finance Executive to support daily accounting and finance activities. This role contributes to the accurate processing of financial transactions, maintenance of accounting records, account reconciliation, reporting, and general finance administration.
The successful candidate will support the preparation and recording of invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries, expenses, and other financial transactions. The role requires a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to maintain accurate and well-organized financial records.
Key responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, processing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, preparing payment documentation, following up on receivables, and maintaining accurate supplier and customer records. The role may also involve reviewing supporting documents and ensuring transactions are properly authorized and recorded.
The position will assist with bank and account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, updating accounting schedules, and maintaining supporting documentation. Attention to detail is important when checking figures, transaction records, invoices, receipts, and other financial information.
The Finance Executive will also contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing journals, schedules, reconciliations, supporting reports, and other documentation required by the finance team. The role may assist with financial reporting and provide accurate information for management review and decision-making.
Additional responsibilities may include expense claims, petty cash management, payment processing, payroll-related finance support, tax documentation, and coordination with internal departments, suppliers, customers, banks, auditors, and other external parties when required.
The role also involves maintaining accounting systems and digital financial records. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, accounting software, ERP systems, and other financial tools while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
A strong sense of responsibility, organization, and professionalism is essential. The candidate should be able to manage routine accounting tasks efficiently while identifying discrepancies, resolving issues, and supporting continuous improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- * Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial processes.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Ability to process invoices, receipts, payments, journals, expenses, and other accounting transactions accurately.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, sorting, filtering, and basic financial analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial management platforms.
- Ability to maintain accurate accounting records and organized supporting documentation.
