Job Summery
Responsible for recording the cost of fixed assets, both tangible and intangible, tracking existing fixed assets, carrying out depreciation procedures, and performing accounting activities related to the disposal of fixed assets.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities :
Fixed Assets
- Establish and manage the control system, procedures, and accounting forms related to recording fixed assets.
- Record the cost of fixed assets, track fixed assets, and perform the related accounting procedures for the disposal of tangible and intangible fixed assets.
- Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
- Assign identification numbers to fixed assets.
- Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system.
- Monitor the posting of project costs to fixed asset accounts and close these accounts once the related projects are completed.
- Assess fixed assets for potential obsolescence.
- Perform periodic impairment assessments for intangible assets.
- Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets.
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
- Make recommendations to management regarding the disposal of fixed assets.
- Perform analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.
- Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
- Perform similar duties assigned within the scope of the role or the work of the Finance Department.
- Carry out any duties requested by the direct manager or supervisor.
Revenue and Collections:
- Follow up on revenue due from the channel's clients and beneficiaries, including amounts due reported by the Sales and Marketing Department, and ensure they are correctly recorded in the accounting system.Issue invoices and receipts for revenue and review them to ensure their accuracy and correctness.
- Regularly follow up on outstanding and overdue invoices.
- Prepare periodic reports on collections, achievement rates, and accounts receivable, and submit them to the direct supervisor.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Department to ensure financial claims are accurate before collection.
- Assist in preparing bank reconciliations related to collected revenue under the supervision of the responsible employee.
- Ensure compliance with the channel's approved financial policies and procedures governing collections and revenue.
- Perform any other duties related to revenue and collections assigned by the direct manager or supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of preparing budgets and balance sheets.
- Good knowledge of accounting software.
- Ability to prepare accounting and management reports.
- Thorough knowledge of local accounting and tax laws.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
