Role Description The Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with design and site teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications. The role includes developing and updating Bills of Quantities (BOQs), performing quantity take-offs, and supporting cost estimation and budgeting processes. The Technical Office Engineer will collaborate with civil and electrical engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues, maintain documentation, and ensure timely submission of drawings and reports. Daily tasks also involve liaising with project managers, suppliers, and contractors, tracking project progress, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement within the technical office.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Shop Drawings preparation and coordination.
- Candidates should possess solid experience in BOQ development, quantity take-offs, and Quantity Surveying.
- Candidates should possess a sound background in Architecture Engineering for interior design and architectural coordination.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Electrical Engineering and plumping fundamentals for MEP-related drawings and reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and familiarity with relevant design and engineering tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Previous experience in interior architecture, construction, or technical office work is preferred.
