Financial Controller
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead and oversee our accounting and financial reporting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, strong financial controls, timely reporting, compliance with applicable regulations, and effective financial planning and analysis.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting management with accurate financial information and helping drive the company’s financial performance.
Key Responsibilities· Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
· Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting process.
· Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and transactions.
· Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
· Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll accounting, and cash management.
· Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
· Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
· Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management.
· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
· Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial institutions.
· Lead the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
· Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and efficiency.
· Supervise, develop, and support the accounting/finance team.
· Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany accounts where applicable.
· Assist senior management with financial modeling, business planning, and strategic decision-making.
· Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial information.
Qualifications & Experience· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 5–8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with experience in a controller or senior accounting role preferred.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.
· Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes.
· Experience managing and developing finance/accounting teams.
· Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
· Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
