The Project
Our technical team has put together a first draft of the website content; the core structure and key points are there, but it's currently written in short bullet points rather than full, polished copy. We're looking for a technical copywriter to take that draft and develop it into complete, compelling website content: expanding the bullet points into well-crafted paragraphs and sections while keeping the technical accuracy and intent of the original material intact.
This is a self-contained, short-term project rather than an ongoing role — we expect it to take about 2–4 weeks from kickoff to final draft, with one or two rounds of revisions built in.
What You'll Do
- Review the existing draft content and technical source material provided by our team
- Expand bullet-point notes into full, well-structured website copy (homepage, about, services/solutions, and similar core pages)
- Translate technical concepts (infrastructure, technology solutions, smart systems) into clear, engaging language for a business audience — without dumbing it down or losing accuracy
- Develop a consistent tone of voice appropriate for a serious B2B technology/infrastructure joint venture
- Work closely with our internal technical team to clarify details and fact-check content
- Suggest structural or messaging improvements where the draft is thin or unclear
- Incorporate feedback through a defined revision process and deliver final, publish-ready copy
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience writing website copy for technology, infrastructure, engineering, or similarly technical B2B companies
- A portfolio or writing samples that demonstrate the ability to make technical subject matter clear and compelling for a business audience
- Strong independent research and interviewing skills; comfortable asking the technical team the right questions to fill gaps in a rough draft
- Excellent English writing and editing skills; close attention to tone, clarity, and consistency
- Ability to work remotely and independently against a short, defined timeline
- Comfortable working from a rough/bulleted draft rather than a blank page
Nice to have
- Experience writing for smart infrastructure, IoT, energy, construction-tech, or similar sectors
- Experience writing for newly launched companies or joint ventures (brand voice built from scratch)
- Familiarity with basic SEO best practices for website copy
Engagement Details
- Type: Freelance / independent contractor, fixed-scope project
- Duration: Approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on revision rounds
- Compensation: Project-based fee, to be agreed based on experience and scope
- Deliverable: Finalized, publish-ready website copy for all core pages, delivered in an agreed format (e.g., Google Doc / Word)
