Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger postings. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and company policies. The Accountant will review and validate supporting documentation, maintain accurate records, and support internal and external audits. The role also includes monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports for management, and collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Zalqa.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- 4-5 years experience
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid knowledge of MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic auditing principles.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical abilities, and the capacity to resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution company, is preferred.
