Role Summary
K‑Line is looking for an experienced Removable Prosthetics Designer to oversee and execute the design of high-quality removable dental appliances. Combining digital design expertise with team leadership, you will lead and mentor our laboratory production team, support seamless workflows, maintain precise quality control, and contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Removable Prosthetics Design: Design high-quality removable dental appliances within a digital or hybrid dental laboratory environment, ensuring alignment with dentist prescriptions and clinical requirements.
- CAD Software Expertise: Apply advanced proficiency in Exocad and/or 3Shape, specifically the Removable/Denture modules.
- Comprehensive Appliance Portfolio: Design a full spectrum of removable appliances, including:
- Complete dentures.
- Removable Partial Dentures (RPDs) with metal frameworks.
- Flexible partial dentures.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, guide, and train K‑Line’s laboratory technicians across the production line, using deep prosthodontic knowledge to optimize workflows and resolve technical challenges.
- Technical & Anatomical Expertise: Apply an in-depth understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, marginal integrity, and material properties, including acrylics, cobalt-chromium, and flexible resins.
- Quality Assurance: Perform detailed quality checks on digital designs and physical outputs, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and dentist prescriptions.
- Communication & Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with clinical partners, laboratory management, and junior technicians to support accurate designs and smooth production handovers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Oral and Dental Medicine.
- 5+ years of specialized experience in designing removable prosthetics within a digital or hybrid dental laboratory environment.
- Advanced proficiency in dental design software: Exocad and/or 3Shape, including Removable/Denture modules.
- Demonstrated experience designing complete dentures, metal-framework RPDs, and flexible partial dentures.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and train laboratory technicians.
- Strong knowledge of prosthodontics, dental anatomy, occlusion, and relevant material properties.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Prosthetics.
- International exposure or experience collaborating with clinical partners and laboratory teams across different markets.
