JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Financial Compliance Specialist enhances the compliance team's effectiveness and ensures consistent application of the compliance program by efficiently and accurately controlling work outputs. He/she collaborates closely with local entities and the Shared Services team to ensure thorough understanding and implementation of the group’s procedures and strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support, enhance, and update the accounting software regularly to align with business requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for accounting/finance special projects, involving gaining a deep understanding of business processes, collaborating with other teams to identify root causes, and developing viable solutions.
- Oversee the tax function, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations across all jurisdictions where the company operates.
- Work closely with local and Shared Service Center (SSC) accounting teams to identify and address compliance issues, ensuring appropriate resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Ensure the proper implementation and regular updates of accounting policies and procedures to align with business needs across existing and new markets.
- Prepare standard financial statements and reports by performing monthly reconciliations, conducting analyses, and raising inquiries to gather the necessary information for accurate reporting.
- Perform quarterly deep-dive analysis of the balance sheet and prepare the required reports and presentations.
- Grant access to users for various financial modules and conduct semiannual reviews to ensure alignment with audit directives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance, or a related field. CPA is a must.
- Four to six years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Proficiency in financial analysis.
