About the Role
Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and strategic IT Performance Lead Terminal to provide high-level oversight for the IT performance of a portfolio of terminals within our global operations. This role is the strategic interface between the central IT department and local terminal IT teams, ensuring global IT standards are met, driving performance excellence, and acting as a key stakeholder in IT governance and strategic initiatives, with a strong focus on financial oversight for IT investments and run costs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the overall IT performance and health of assigned terminals using key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards, focusing on trends, service availability, and operational efficiency rather than individual incidents.
- Ensure that terminal IT teams align with corporate IT policies, security standards, and architectural guidelines, acting as a governance partner.
- Identify and propose projects where Head Office's contribution can create significant value for the terminals, leveraging central resources, expertise, or economies of scale to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance security.
- Actively participate in the CAPEX and OPEX budget planning process for the terminal portfolio, tracking expenditures, ensuring projects stay within budget, and providing financial forecasts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for terminal managers and local IT leaders, fostering strong relationships and communicating strategic IT goals, project updates, and performance insights effectively.
- Oversee the resolution of significant, high-impact IT issues that affect multiple terminals or require corporate-level intervention, ensuring problems are addressed effectively, and root causes are identified and documented for future prevention.
- Coordinate strategic IT projects across the portfolio, such as major system upgrades, technology standardization initiatives, or the rollout of new global platforms, acting as a liaison between project teams and terminal stakeholders.
- Generate and present high-level performance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve overall IT reliability and efficiency across the terminal portfolio.
- Identify and promote the adoption of best practices and innovative technologies from one terminal to others, facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, and collaborating on M&A / Tender IT activities across the portfolio.

- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
- Knowledge of other languages relevant to global operations is a plus.
Experience
- Proven experience as CIO / IT Manager in the Container Terminal industry, with portfolio management experience.
- Experience with budget planning and financial oversight is essential.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and security principles; able to grasp complex technical challenges and their business impact without being hands-on.
- Solid understanding of IT financial management, including CAPEX and OPEX cycles, cost analysis, and return on investment (ROI).
- Strong ability to think strategically, focusing on long-term goals and systemic improvements rather than day-to-day tasks.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence without direct authority and translate technical and financial concepts into business terms for C-level executives and non-technical managers.
- Superior organizational and analytical skills to manage diverse projects, data sets, and budgets across a distributed, autonomous network.
