A leading organization is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead procurement and contracting activities across major capital projects. The role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing tendering and contracting processes, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, and providing commercial and contractual support throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a procurement professional with strong experience in capital projects, contractor management, and contract execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement and contracting activities for capital projects from planning through contract award and execution.
- Develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies that align with project objectives and business requirements.
- Manage end-to-end tendering processes, including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation, contract award, and contract finalization.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and approval processes.
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project teams and key stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement, commercial, and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage contractor and supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations, service levels, and project deliverables are achieved.
- Support the resolution of commercial and contractual issues through effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
- Lead and develop the Capital Projects Contracts & Procurement team, ensuring timely delivery of procurement and contracting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement effectiveness, contract management, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contracts management, or commercial management within capital projects, infrastructure, construction, or similar sectors.
- Proven experience managing major tenders, supplier negotiations, and contract awards.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, commercial management, and contract administration.
- Experience developing sourcing and contracting strategies for complex projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier and contractor relationships effectively.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and risk management capabilities.
- Previous experience leading procurement or contracts teams is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, MCIPS, PMP, or equivalent are advantageous.
