Job Objective
Your role as Network Engineer is to work with design and engineering teams to have an all-round understanding of networks and systems. Your role will also entail being able to resolve complex issues that involve analyzing packets and troubleshooting networks.
You will also offer Level 2 & Level 3 Network Support that includes operation and configuration management. Your role will also include fulfilling the request for Network Devices such as routers, firewalls, and WAN Optimization. You will examine, evaluate, and monitor the incoming network change requests.
Main Tasks
- Configure and manage routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VLANs.
- Design and implement network solutions to meet business requirements.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security protocols.
- Use network monitoring tools and analyze performance data to identify issues.
- Manage and optimize network performance, ensuring high reliability and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, performing root cause analysis.
- Conduct regular monitoring of network performance and plan for future capacity needs.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Implement and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect against web-based attacks.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure successful collaboration and goal achievement.
- Responsible for Level 2 and level 3 escalations for support on call duties.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Monitor network performance and conduct capacity planning to support future growth
- Manage and optimize network performance, ensuring reliability and security across all systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or any related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- CCNA, CCNP or any networking certificates are a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies.
- Experience with firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Professional proficiency in Local Language and English required.
- Knowledge of information securityand privacy principles (ISO 27001/27701)
- Understanding of security incidentresponse and data breach notification procedures
- Experience implementing technical security controlsand access management
- Knowledge of secure infrastructure design and privacy-preserving configurations
- Proficient in routing and switching technologies, including but not limited to BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VLAN configurations.
- Experiencewith firewalls, intrusiondetection systems, and security protocols.
- Familiaritywith network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
