At Boutiqaat, we are looking for a Legal Associate to join our team and support the day-to-day legal activities of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career legal professional who is looking to broaden their practical experience across contract management, legal research, regulatory matters, legal operations, and stakeholder support. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel and internal stakeholders, helping ensure that legal requests, contracts, documentation, and follow-up activities are handled accurately, efficiently, and within required timelines.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Review Arabic and English contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and other legal documents, and provide comments where required.
- Identify unusual, unclear, or non-standard clauses and escalate them to the Senior Legal Counsel for further review.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract information within the automated contract management system.
- Monitor contract expiry and renewal dates and follow up on required actions.
- Maintain well-organized contract records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with assigned legal matters, including legal research, drafting documents and memos, preparing supporting information, and assisting with legal cases when required.
- Conduct preliminary legal research and summarize findings for review.
- Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments and highlight matters that may require further attention.
- Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of standard legal documents, templates, and related materials.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of legal templates, forms, procedures, and processes.
- Log incoming legal requests, track their status, monitor deadlines, and follow up on outstanding matters.
- Coordinate day-to-day legal activities and ensure assigned requests are followed through to completion.
- Maintain, organize, and archive legal files and records to ensure information remains accurate, accessible, and properly maintained.
- Support internal stakeholders on administrative matters requiring legal expertise, including licenses, renewals, official documentation, and dealings with relevant authorities.
- Assist in preparing and coordinating documents for licenses, renewals, submissions, and other official matters.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather required information and documentation and follow up on outstanding requirements.
- Escalate unusual, sensitive, or complex legal matters to the Senior Legal Counsel.
- Handle confidential legal information, contracts, cases, and business documents with the highest level of discretion.
- Ensure legal records and documentation are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
- Manage assigned responsibilities within agreed timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, professional development, and expanding legal knowledge.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB).
- 1–2 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in contract review, legal documentation, legal research, or related legal activities is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of contract principles and standard legal agreements.
- Understanding of legal research methods and legal documentation practices.
- Awareness of laws and regulations relevant to the organization’s business.
- Understanding of contract administration, record keeping, and legal filing practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Clear, professional, and effective legal writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good research, information-gathering, communication, and coordination skills.
- The ability to review standard legal documents and recognize matters requiring escalation.
- Strong follow-up skills and the ability to maintain accurate records across multiple requests.
- High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and professional integrity.
