The Role
We're looking for a Career Development and Employability Coordinator to build out our career support function from the ground up - someone who sees a gap and fills it, rather than waiting to be told what to do. You'll develop employer relationships across sectors, design the tools and processes beneficiaries need to move into sustainable income, and deliver 1:1 career counselling directly in the early phase, with the goal of transitioning this into a volunteer-led peer/buddy model as it matures.
This is a part-time role (20h/week) with the possibility of increasing hours down the track for the right candidate. The indicative pay for the role is €1,049.05 gross/month for 20h/week.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
What you'll do
- Build and grow relationships with employers across multiple sectors, proactively identifying and pursuing new pathways into income-generating work
- Design and deliver 1:1 career counselling in the early phase, using practical knowledge of LinkedIn, CV/resume structuring, and freelance platforms like Upwork
- Develop the frameworks, tools, and materials needed to support beneficiaries' training-to-work transition - identifying gaps and building solutions independently
- Bring attention to the specific barriers displaced women face in accessing employment, and factor this into employer outreach and counselling approach
- Lay the groundwork for a volunteer-led peer/buddy pairing model, and drive the transition from direct delivery to volunteer coordination
- Track readiness, progression, and outcomes, using what you learn to continuously improve the approach
What we're looking for
- A self-starter who takes initiative, sets their own priorities, and is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy
- Experience in career development, employer engagement, recruitment, or workforce integration
- Strong relationship-building skills, comfortable reaching out to and maintaining employer partnerships across sectors
- Practical, hands-on knowledge of LinkedIn, CV/resume writing, and freelance platforms (e.g., Upwork)
- Ability to build something from scratch - comfortable designing processes as much as running them
- Strong written and spoken English
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Nice to have
- Experience applying a gender lens in employment, livelihoods, or economic development programming
- Experience designing or transitioning programmes to a volunteer/peer-led model
- Experience supporting refugees or conflict-affected communities
- Familiarity with remote work or digital labour markets
