Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of relevant nursing experience, preferably in Peritoneal Dialysis or a related clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ clinical conditions and monitor their overall health status.
- Perform and supervise Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) procedures.
- Provide appropriate catheter and exit-site care.
- Identify, monitor, and manage common PD-related complications, including suspected peritonitis and catheter-related problems.
- Educate and support patients and caregivers on PD procedures, care, and adherence.
- Provide 24/7 phone support to patients and caregivers when required.
- Conduct home visits to assess the patient’s home environment, hygiene conditions, storage of PD supplies, and adherence to PD procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and reporting.
- Complete administrative tasks and update patient information using the company’s software.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Clinical Training & Development:
- Participate in supervised patient visits and follow-ups.
- Gain practical experience in identifying and managing common PD complications.
- Participate in the assessment of catheter-related problems and suspected peritonitis.
- Participate in patient and caregiver training and follow-up.
- Learn how to assess patients’ home environments, including hygiene conditions, storage of supplies, and adherence to PD procedures.
- Demonstrate accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
- Progressively take on greater responsibility and work toward independent management of assigned clinical responsibilities.
