Job Summary
The Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis, monitoring business performance metrics, and providing insights to support informed financial and business decision-making across the Noatum Ports global portfolio of ports and terminals.
The role will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, financial modelling, cost analysis, and risk monitoring, while ensuring consistency and accuracy of financial data and reporting standards across different operations and reporting environments.
The position will work closely with senior management and international finance teams to provide visibility into financial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Performance Management
- Conduct regular and comprehensive financial analysis, including forecasts, trends, risks, and opportunities, to provide clear visibility of Noatum Ports' financial performance.
- Analyze financial and operational performance indicators and identify key trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Analyze correlations between key business KPIs, including revenue, EBITDA, volumes, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Monitor and report on Noatum Ports' performance against relevant competitors, industry benchmarks, and international standards.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support financial and operational decision-making.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Support the budgeting process and monitor budget performance across the relevant portfolio.
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for effective cost control and budget alignment with strategic objectives.
- Contribute to financial forecasting and long-term financial planning activities.
- Support the development and maintenance of financial models to facilitate planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
Financial Reporting & Data Analysis
- Support the compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data across Noatum Ports.
- Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations highlighting key financial and business insights.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of financial data and reporting standards across different operations and reporting environments.
- Utilize financial systems, reporting tools, and data analysis applications to manipulate, analyze, and present financial information effectively.
Cost Management & Efficiency
- Review Noatum Ports' expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization, savings, and process efficiency.
- Support the identification and evaluation of financial and operational improvement opportunities.
- Provide analysis to support initiatives aimed at improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Risk Management
- Support the monitoring and assessment of financial risks across the portfolio.
- Periodically review financial risk mitigation strategies and provide relevant analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure financial analysis and reporting are aligned with applicable financial regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with senior management and international finance teams to monitor financial and operational performance.
- Follow up on key performance indicators and support the development of appropriate action plans.
- Prepare and deliver financial and performance reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with external consultants and relevant external entities to support benchmarking, best-practice analysis, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Professional finance or accounting qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, financial planning, management reporting, or a similar role.

- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and statistical information.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial systems, reporting platforms, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong financial modelling and data manipulation skills.
- Ability to identify problems, assess alternatives, and develop practical and commercially sound solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear and actionable business insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Language Requirements
