Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Beirut Governorate, Lebanon. The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role involves assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and cost analyses related to property and facility management activities, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards. The Junior Accountant will collaborate with the finance team to organize documentation, respond to internal and external inquiries, and contribute to process improvements that enhance financial transparency and control.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management, journal entries, and basic financial reporting.
- Experience or coursework in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP software; exposure to CMMS or property management systems is a plus.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; early-career experience or internships in accounting are an advantage.
- Interest in the property and facility management sector and willingness to learn about industry-specific financial processes and standards.
