Position Summary
The Campus Life & Engagement Lead leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of campus life initiatives.
The role is responsible for driving student engagement, supporting official student clubs and societies, executing major institutional events, and developing opportunities for international and intercultural engagement.
By collaborating across university units, external partners, international institutions, and student leaders, this position builds an active, inclusive, culturally diverse, and well-structured campus community.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Major Events
- Direct and execute major campus-wide student events, including Orientation Week, Cultural Fairs, Student Leadership Summits, international forums, and intercultural events.
- Formulate comprehensive event budgets, resource allocations, and operational execution timelines.
- Coordinate cross-departmental logistics with the Office of Facilities Management, Office of IT, Office of Marketing & CSR and other relevant university units.
Student Organizations & Leadership
- Oversee the registration, operational guidance, and governance of official student clubs and societies.
- Design and facilitate leadership development workshops, training seminars, and retreats for student officers.
- Ensure student club events, initiatives, and budgets adhere to university bylaws, financial procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Facilitate opportunities for student organizations to collaborate with international student associations, universities, NGOs, diplomatic or cultural institutions, and other relevant organizations.
Communication & Student Engagement
- Act as the primary operational link between student club officers, student representatives, international student participants, and university administration.
- Manage student life digital communication channels to maximize participation and program visibility.
- Administer student satisfaction surveys and analyze engagement metrics to refine co-curricular programming.
Resource & Team Management
- Administer project budgets, process vendor documentation, and track unit expenditures against allocations.
- Enforce institutional safety regulations and risk management protocols across all organized activities.
- Supervise project teams, event staff, student assistants, volunteers, and student ambassadors during program execution phases.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of major events, cultural programs, international activities, and student engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in business administration, higher education, social sciences, event management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, student affairs, or large-scale event administration.
- Knowledge of student engagement, campus life, student organizations, event management, and cultural and exchange programs, with the ability to plan and coordinate activities in compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, stakeholder coordination, problem-solving, and intercultural skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with internal, external, and international partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant university information systems, with the ability to use digital tools for event planning, communication, budgeting, data management, and reporting.
- Ability to use digital communication, registration, survey, and engagement platforms to promote activities, manage participation, and assess student engagement.
